Urban Turban is about 2 miles north-east of the North, Damen and Milwaukee corner, at 2660 N Halsted St in Lincoln Park. By road it's around 3 miles: head east toward Halsted, then north to the block between Wrightwood and Diversey.
If you're coming in to eat, the dishes worth the trip are the slow-cooked ones. The Chicken Handi (matka chicken) is bone-in chicken slow-cooked with yogurt and whole spices in a clay pot. Dal Makhani (Maa Ki Dal) simmers for 24 hours. The Punjabi thalis put a full meal on one plate. Chole Bhature, two bhature fried to order with Amritsari chole, is the most-ordered plate on our Indian Punjabi menu. For delivery, try Butter Chicken (murgh makhani) with garlic naan, or Chicken Dum Biryani.
