Indian Punjabi Restaurant in Chicago
Urban Turban is an Indian Punjabi restaurant at 2660 N Halsted St in Lincoln Park, between Wrightwood and Diversey, a short walk from DePaul. It's our only Chicago kitchen today.
The menu is Punjabi dhaba cooking. Chole bhature and butter chicken (murgh makhani) are the two dishes people order most. Around them are 24-hour dal makhani, tandoori chicken from the bhatti, bone-in goat curry, chicken handi, and thalis that put a full meal on one plate. There's a street-food side too: naan wraps, stuffed naan burgers and loaded masala fries. About half the menu is vegetarian.
You can dine in, pick up, or order delivery directly from us, with no app fees. Delivery is $3.99 and free on orders over $50; enter your address at checkout to see if we reach you. We are open Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. We are closed on Tuesday.
Half of the menu is vegetarian, and much of it is vegan as cooked.
Every dish comes in Mild, Medium, Spicy or Indian Spicy — choose the spice level per dish when you order.
All chicken, goat and lamb is zabiha halal meat from ZaFresh Zabiha Supermarket. It is the only meat we buy.
