Tandoori Chicken (Half)
Indian Punjabi tandoori chicken made the bhatti way, also called bhatti da kukad or bhatti chicken. Bone-in chicken is marinated in smoked yogurt, black pepper and mustard oil, then charred in the bhatti, the open-fire pit that gives Punjabi highway chicken its smoke and crust. It's drier, more peppery and smokier than the classic red tandoori chicken. This order is a half chicken. Our chicken is zabiha halal. Dine in, pick up or get delivery from 2660 N Halsted St in Lincoln Park, a short walk from DePaul.
Flavour: Charred, peppery, smoky — a drier, bolder cousin of tandoori chicken.

Good to know
What is bhatti da kukad?
Punjabi for chicken from the bhatti, an open-fire pit. It's our tandoori chicken, charred over open fire for more smoke.
How is it different from regular tandoori chicken?
The bhatti's open fire and a black-pepper, mustard-oil marinade make it smokier and more rustic than the classic red tandoori marinade.
