Lamb Dum Biryani (Gosht Biryani)
Indian lamb dum biryani from our Punjabi kitchen, also called gosht biryani or spelled lamb biriyani. Basmati rice and tender lamb are sealed and slow-cooked dum style, so the rice takes on the spices and the juices of the lamb as it steams. It's the lamb version of our Chicken Dum Biryani. Have it on its own or with a side of Dal Makhani (Maa Ki Dal). Our lamb is zabiha halal. Dine in, pick up or get delivery from 2660 N Halsted St in Lincoln Park, near DePaul.

Good to know
Is the biryani made with lamb or goat?
Lamb. For goat, try the Punjabi Goat Curry or the Champaran Goat Curry (Handi Style).
What does dum mean?
The pot is sealed and slow-cooked, so the rice and lamb steam together and the spices cook into the rice.
